Hillary grabs Hollywood cash for McAuliffe

Clinton, a longtime friend of McAuliffe, headlined a $15,000-a-person event in Beverly Hills that was attended by studio head Harvey Weinstein, actor Ted Danson, top agent Casey Wasserman and Netflix content chief Ted Sarandos, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The Clintons have deep ties with Hollywood, though President Obama peeled off some of her support from the community in 2008. She has been active in helping McAuliffe's campaign, and the fundraiser could help her reestablish connections in the city ahead of a potential presidential bid.

McAuliffe, who was not in attendance, has far outpaced Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli (R) in fundraising and leads in the polls heading into Tuesday's election.
