Bill to extend Reagan Centennial Commission draws 18 votes in opposition

Democrats opposing the bill were Reps. Yvette Clarke (N.Y.), Steve Cohen (Tenn.), Jim Cooper (Tenn.), Peter DeFazio (Ore.), Keith Ellison (Minn.), Mike Honda (Calif.), Hank Johnson (Ga.), Barbara Lee (Calif.), Jim McDermottJim McDermottHouse passes bill exempting some from ObamaCare mandate Government to step in if insurance companies don't offer affordable health care choices Dems fear they made a mistake passing ObamaCare provision MORE (Wash.), Jerrold Nadler (N.Y.), Linda Sanchez (Calif.), Kurt Schrader (Ore.), Pete Stark (Calif.), John Tierney (Mass.), Anthony Weiner (N.Y.), and Barbara Woolsey (Calif.).

Despite these votes in opposition, the chamber easily passed the measure, 394-18. But the votes in opposition were notable on both sides.

The House on Tuesday night also approved S. 307, a bill that would name a courthouse in West Virginia. The House approved that bill by a 408-3 vote.
