Pelosi, Democrats congratulate Obama on bin Laden mission

"Their work was important, but I'm here to commend President Obama in particular for carrying out, executing the plan to get it done, in recognition of the foundation that was laid by President Clinton and President Bush," she said.

Pelosi also said bin Laden's death finally brings some closure to those who lost family members and friends on 9/11.

"I hope that it is some comfort to them, that at least this has happened, however long it took," she said.
