Wombats — or a painting of them — stalk the Senate

Rep. Jim Himes has found evidence of some wild and unusual creatures roaming the Senate.

On Thursday, the Connecticut Democrat tweeted:

We hear the painting that the 47-year-old congressman snapped a photo of is located in a corridor just beyond the first floor Northeast entrance to the Senate.

Himes tells ITK the reason he took the pic is because “wombats and civet cats are odd, eccentric and evolutionarily strange creatures, like the U.S. Senate.”
