Pawlenty: I won't be Romney's vice president

After endorsing fellow former Governor Mitt Romney (Mass.) for the Republican presidential nomination, Tim Pawlenty (Minn.) told Fox News that he "won't be considered" for Romney's vice president.

"I don't even want to consider that, he'll have a lot of good choices for that," Pawlenty told Fox News after being asked whether he would be interested in being Romney's running mate.

The former Minnesota governor ended his bid for the Republican presidential nomination in August after placing well behind Romney in the Ames Iowa Straw Poll.

Pawlenty said Romney would be a good pick to head the party's 2012 ticket. "He can beat Barack Obama," he said.
